Hi Chrissy These are lovely interpretations of the Monet piece, I especially like the embellished work, the colours are beautiful. Made me think I must get my machine out again, it's taken a back seat lately. The one under it is lovely too, it reminds me of rain and snow!! Thanks for your comments on my blog post, I agree with you about Lyme Regis. I've always wanted to go to fountains Abbey, maybe this year I'll make it. The craft centre was still in the old Church and lots of lovely wool , very tempting!!
I am a textile artist living in the suburbs of London with my husband and daughter and numerous pets.
I have recently gained a BA (hons) in embroidered textiles to add to my other qualifications both in textiles and teaching. I am a Licentiate of the Society of Designer Craftsmen, Leader of the exhibiting group Material Girls and instigator and founder Chair of the Eastern Region Textile Forum.
My practice is led by my work with both fibres and thread. I am most likely to be found sewing in my studio or sketching/photographing and wishing I lived near the sea!
