I'm back down to work on the degree but motivation is a bit lacking now OPUS is officially no more and the JCS isn't completely up and running yet. I'm just keeping my fingers crossed its all going to work out and 3 years work towards the degree- to say nothing of the cost -won't be wasted. I must say I think the whole OPUS business could have been handled better its left me quite cross. I also feel for the two tutors who are trying to set up the new school and rescue us all.
On Saturday I went to Textiles in Focus at Cottenham in Cambridgeshire which proved a nice diversion and I enjoyed the talk by Mary Sleigh who is bringing a new book out in the summer to accompany her African inspirations book so something for the birthday list. It took me back to when I was doing some 'ethnic pieces' perhaps something I might revisit if I get time. For now its get on with what I can towards the degree and play the waiting game.

Not a good time for you, I sympathise, it certainly saps the creative energy when there's all this indecision in the air.
Sounds like you had a great day on Saturday, glad you were able to escape for a bit.
I shall look forward to the new MS book, I've got her African Inspirations, it's wonderful

It must be so frustrating for you, having invested so much in all directions so far in your degree course. Hang on in there, I'm sure it will all be sorted out before long. The pieces you have shown here are very interesting and innovative. Good luck, Heather.

my opus tutor for this module is kate green. she is a ball of energy and enthusiasm and encouragement. if not for her, i don't think i would be doing my opus work right now. yes, the money and time invested have been monumental. please keep me updated with anything that you know. i don't have a good connection to many other students and am really feeling in the dark, not to mention, cross - yes, cross.

p.s. your work is looking great:)
