Was your standing stone done by an artist in Lyme Regis. Two years ago our holiday there coincided with their art week, and we watched a local man setting up these standing stones. It was almost unbelievable that they would balance unaided, and I found their simplicity very beautiful. My pockets are like a small boy's after a trip to the beach - pebbles, bits of drift wood and anything else interesting. I like big pockets!! Congratulations on even tackling the Opus degree course - I didn't have the courage to take it on. Good luck with it.
I am a textile artist living in the suburbs of London with my husband and daughter and numerous pets.
I have recently gained a BA (hons) in embroidered textiles to add to my other qualifications both in textiles and teaching. I am a Licentiate of the Society of Designer Craftsmen, Leader of the exhibiting group Material Girls and instigator and founder Chair of the Eastern Region Textile Forum.
My practice is led by my work with both fibres and thread. I am most likely to be found sewing in my studio or sketching/photographing and wishing I lived near the sea!
