- I am a textile artist living in the suburbs of London with my husband and daughter and numerous pets. I have recently gained a BA (hons) in embroidered textiles to add to my other qualifications both in textiles and teaching. I am a Licentiate of the Society of Designer Craftsmen, Leader of the exhibiting group Material Girls and instigator and founder Chair of the Eastern Region Textile Forum. My practice is led by my work with both fibres and thread. I am most likely to be found sewing in my studio or sketching/photographing and wishing I lived near the sea!

I was just reading your blog and I love the photos of lichen, and the boat with the winding gear, and lots of others.
Which particular suburb do you live in? I used to be at College at Strawberry Hill, twickenham, and have just this minute said goodbye to two of my college friends form 40 years ago who have been to stay with me. Sob!
As for the commission for Wingham...well you will have to let them know!
I'm glad you found what you were looking for.
If you are ever up North its well worth a visit.
