Wow , what an interesting collection of pics. I particularly like the top one, it looks as if you've stitched into the stem? I can remember doing similar things on my foundation course and at the time thought they were barking mad , asking us to do all these bizarre things, but it does help you think laterally when you're up against it later, i think i've just forgotten how, it was 16 years ago, ouch!!!!!! and I was a mature student then!!!!
I am a textile artist living in the suburbs of London with my husband and daughter and numerous pets.
I have recently gained a BA (hons) in embroidered textiles to add to my other qualifications both in textiles and teaching. I am a Licentiate of the Society of Designer Craftsmen, Leader of the exhibiting group Material Girls and instigator and founder Chair of the Eastern Region Textile Forum.
My practice is led by my work with both fibres and thread. I am most likely to be found sewing in my studio or sketching/photographing and wishing I lived near the sea!
