Hi Chrissy Sounds like you're as excited by this project as I was by finding textural inspiration from my fridge! I like your piece of rubbish felt, was it embellished? I can't quite see in the pic. I 've been trying the velevt again today, this time with florestry paper printed with painted bondaweb, there seems no end to what you can do with it. You must be quite an expert if you demo them. Thanks for your comments on my post.
Hi Chrissy Thaks for your comment on my last post, tried to reply last night but we lost connection for about 8 hours, still I got some work done. I don't seem to have your email address, don't know if I lost it or never had it, but it would be good to have if you don't mind. Thanks for the tip about the net , will use a fribre next time.
I am a textile artist living in the suburbs of London with my husband and daughter and numerous pets.
I have recently gained a BA (hons) in embroidered textiles to add to my other qualifications both in textiles and teaching. I am a Licentiate of the Society of Designer Craftsmen, Leader of the exhibiting group Material Girls and instigator and founder Chair of the Eastern Region Textile Forum.
My practice is led by my work with both fibres and thread. I am most likely to be found sewing in my studio or sketching/photographing and wishing I lived near the sea!
